Privacy policy

Slow Burn holds as little about you as it can. This page says exactly what that is.
The short version
- There are no accounts and no sign-up.
- Your answers and dares are spoken. They are never typed into the game or sent to us.
- Names, dice rolls and ratings exist only while an online room is open.
- We run no advertising and no analytics trackers.
- Our server keeps standard access logs for 14 days.
What stays on your device
The names you type and your sound setting are saved in your browser’s local storage, so they are filled in next time. They stay on your device unless you start an online room. Clear your browser data to remove them. The game itself does not set cookies.
What happens in an online room
When you host or join a room, our server relays four things between the two players: your display name, your truth or dare choice, the dice result and card number, and the heat ratings. It holds them in memory only while the room is open. It does not write them to disk or to logs.
A room is deleted after 10 minutes with nobody connected, or after 12 hours at the very most. Room codes and session tokens are random and only work for that room. A room code appears in our server logs as part of a web address, but the contents of a room never do.
Server logs
Like any website, our server records the visitor’s IP address (as passed on by Cloudflare), the time, the page requested without any query string, the response code and the browser’s user agent. We use this to keep the site running and to spot abuse. Logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes traffic to protect and speed up the site and may set security cookies. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your data, we do not profile you, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
Age
Slow Burn is for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we hold so little, the honest answer is usually a log line. Ask anyway and we will check. You can reach the site operator through webifygo.com.
